Another favorite note buried in some correspondence to John Updike regarding the species of Fish “I’m sorry – it’s not a flounder, it’s a halibut”. Indeed, while the Magic Fish is referred to as a flounder, the costume is clearly NOT a flounder. A halibut, albeit a red halibut. Art.
